We all know that it is very difficult for a respectable person to ask for help – specially in the present world – when relatives and neighbors, instead of helping, become the cause of their embarrassment.

Dear Members, let us remind ourselves, that helping a need is an obligation upon those who have been provided with sufficient sustenance.

We at ZahraFoundation has initiated a touchpoint for both, a benefactor and a needy. It is an attempt to bring a benefactor closer to needy and provide with necessary support. It is for the convenience of the benefactor that we, at ZahraFoundation have created a data bank for various categories of needs and a member out of his free will can provide his assistance / aid, to any, in the respective category.

The role of ZahraFoundation is only a platform to facilitate donors introduction to needy. We will only be monitoring the help process with our robust mechanism of

  1. identifying the authenticity of the needy
  2. ensuring  the need is being worked upon by a donor.

Excerpts from Quran and Able Bayt (as)

“and spend something (in charity) out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before Death should come to any of you and he should say, “O my Lord! why didst Thou not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good”.

Imam Ali a.s. about Charity

“Generosity is to help a deserving person without his request, and if you help him after his request, then it is either out of self-respect or to avoid rebuke.”- Nahjul Balaga

“Charity is an effective cure, and the actions of people in their present life will be before their eyes in the next life.”

P.S: It is to bring into the notice of all the respectable members that the help can offered in two forms. i.e. Sadqa – which will be the right of non-Syeds and Khums which will be the right of Syeds, only.
